Baobab Launches Offering in the Netherlands and Strengthens Team with Adil Ozcelik

Berlin/Rotterdam, February 18, 2026 – Baobab Insurance, the leading European provider of digital risk protection with an integrated prevention approach, announces the official market launch of its cyber insurance product in the Netherlands. Starting immediately, Dutch brokers can write the "Cyber Safe" insurance policy through a dedicated broker portal. Simultaneously, the company is strengthening its personnel presence in the region: Adil Ozcelik joins the team alongside General Manager Benelux, Tim van Lier, to support the expansion of the Belgian market.
Market Entry: Netherlands
With the launch of the "Cyber Safe" product and the accompanying broker portal in the Netherlands, Baobab Insurance is consistently pursuing its European growth strategy. Brokers benefit from a streamlined cyber insurance application featuring only four risk questions for companies with a turnover of up to €100 million. This is made possible by a proprietary risk scan that eliminates most of traditional risk questions. The portal enables rapid pricing, comparison of product combinations, and real-time policy issuance, all supported by local points of contact.
New Personnel for Belgium and Luxembourg: Adil Ozcelik
To further drive growth in the Benelux region, Baobab Insurance has recruited Adil Ozcelik, an experienced expert in cyber risks. Ozcelik joins the team with an notable: most recently, he served as an Underwriter for Cyber and Tech at Beazley for two years, where he specialized in analyzing complex operational and regulatory risks and developing tailored insurance solutions. Previously, at Chubb, he was responsible for the SME portfolio as an Underwriter for D&O and Cyber, where he significantly advanced digital distribution via platform solutions.
In his new role as Broker Manager at Baobab, Adil Ozcelik will work closely with Tim van Lier (General Manager Benelux) to specifically build and expand the company’s presence in the Belgian and Luxembourg market.
Cyber Resilience for the European SMEs
As in Germany, Baobab Insurance focuses on prevention rather than mere claims settlement in the Benelux countries. Through its proprietary "Deep Scan" technology, the company identifies digital assets more effectively than conventional scans. Additionally, the technology identifies credentials—such as usernames and passwords circulating on the darknet or in public repositories—that are directly linked to the insured company's domain. Consequently, Baobab acts as an active technology partner that not only provides financial backing in the event of a claim but also sustainably strengthens the cyber resilience of the European SMEs and the upper industrial sector.
